The Rough-Terrain Forklift truck makes it easier for you to operate your forklift in any condition, but are a much stronger and more durable style of forklift, it’s most commonly used on building sites and where the grounds is ‘rough’ or uneven. A Rough-Terrain Forklift is designed to run in much rougher and tougher conditions. The tires alone are large and have deep grooves, giving the forklift the grip needed to navigate uneven surfaces.
Instead of being powered with an electric type engine like an indoor forklift truck, the Rough-Terrain Forklift is powered by gas or propane type engines. The powerful gas engines give the forklift the drive they need to navigate steep ground, gravel & loose rock, and rough roads or uneven surfaces, as the electric engines are not as powerful. The Rough-Terrain Forklift truck must be powered on an I.C.E. in order to give it the power it needs.
